Police Chase leads to Crash that Kills 1 and Injures 8

My Fox Chicago, a shooting on the West Side of the city led to a police chase that ended tragically. A law enforcement official stated that the incident started with a shooting at about 11:30 p.m. on South Springfield Avenue. The victim sustained a gunshot wound to his leg.
A while later, police officers spotted a car that matched the description of the vehicle connected to the shooter. Police attempted to pull the vehicle over but the driver refused and a chase ensued. The chase ended when the
vehicle crashed into a CTA bus and two other vehicles. There were nine people hospitalized because of the crash. A 35-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the hospital. The autopsy showed that she died because of the injuries that she sustained from the accident. There were four people listed in serious and critical condition, two in fair to serious condition and three were listed in good condition. The condition of the driver is unknown at this time. The accident is still being investigated by detectives.
