Chicago Woman Injured in Car Crash

A young woman was injured some blocks west of Depaul University's Lincoln Park campus on January 11, the police say. The 20-year old woman was hit by a cab, and she's in a hospital in stable but serious condition. The chtribune reported a story on this accident.
The 20-year-old woman was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center after being hit, along with two other people who were involved in the crash and also injured.
The three people got injured when a cab driver ignored a red light at an intersection and hit another taxi. The crash happened around 1 in the morning, and according to police, the crash sent the second cab off the road and into a liquor store. The 20-year-old woman was hit by the second cab, the police said.
The 32-year-old driver of the second cab also needed to be taken to a hospital and was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center, according to Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer. A 25-year-old passenger in the first cab was also taken to the same hospital.
The driver of the first cab had received no citations when the story was reported.
